Vedic Meditation (VM)

Vedic Meditation courses follow the traditional Vedic approach and are taught over four carefully structured sessions, each lasting around 90 minutes. This timeless technique is designed to be both simple and deeply effective, helping busy professionals access calm, clarity, and energy without needing to change their lifestyle. The course can be completed entirely online or in person, allowing you to learn from the comfort of your own home or office, and at a pace that works for your schedule. Whether you’re new to meditation or looking to deepen your existing practice, this course provides the foundation for lasting transformation.

Course structure:

1. Private Instruction (First Session)

This is a one-on-one session where you receive personal instruction tailored to you. The session begins with a brief and respectful Sanskrit ceremony, offered by the teacher as a gesture of gratitude to the ancient Vedic tradition from which this practice originates.

Following the ceremony, you will be given your personal mantra—a specific sound chosen for its vibrational qualities—and taught how to use it correctly and effortlessly. This mantra is the key to the meditation process, enabling the mind to settle naturally into deeper levels of rest.

The session concludes with time for any questions, ensuring you feel confident and supported before moving forward.

2. Practical Aspects of Meditation (Second Session)

In this session, we explore the practical foundations that make Vedic Meditation so accessible and sustainable in daily life. Unlike many other techniques, Vedic Meditation does not involve breath control, visualisations, concentration, or adopting specific physical postures. Instead, it is designed to be effortless and enjoyable—something you can easily integrate into even the busiest schedule.

We’ll cover the ideal times to meditate, how to fit your practice around work and travel, and tips for creating a comfortable meditation space at home or in the office. You’ll also learn the best ways to sit (without needing to sit cross-legged or on the floor) and what to do if you’re interrupted or short on time.

By the end of this session, you’ll have a clear understanding of where, when, and how to meditate most effectively—so you can make the practice your own, no matter your lifestyle.

3. The Mechanics of Meditation (Third Session)

In this session, we take a deeper look at what actually happens during meditation—particularly when you think the mantra. We explore how the mind naturally begins to settle inward as the mantra becomes increasingly subtle, leading to a profound state of restful alertness. This unique process allows the body to gain deep rest, often deeper than sleep, which in turn helps to release accumulated stress from the nervous system.

We’ll also explore the fight-or-flight response—why so many of us operate from this survival mode without even realising it—and how meditation helps deactivate this response, shifting the body into a more regenerative and healing state. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection, and why a regular practice leads not just to mental clarity, but also to improved resilience, emotional stability, and overall wellbeing.

4. Long-Term Benefits (Fourth Session)

In this final session, we focus on what you can expect from maintaining a regular meditation practice over time. As the body continues to release deep-rooted stress and the mind becomes more familiar with stillness, many people begin to notice powerful shifts—improved focus, emotional resilience, enhanced creativity, and more frequent experiences of “the zone,” where thoughts and actions align effortlessly.

We also explore the deeper meaning behind these changes. What does it mean to access a quieter part of the mind? How does this affect your sense of purpose, relationships, and overall quality of life? This session includes time for group discussion, Q&A, and guidance on how to maintain consistency—so you leave feeling confident, supported, and inspired to integrate meditation as a lasting part of your life.

Throughout the course, you’ll take part in meditation sessions to help build confidence and deepen your experience. You’ll also receive regular mantra checks—a simple yet powerful process that ensures your technique remains effortless and effective as you progress. These check-ins provide a chance to refine your practice and ask any questions that may arise.

In addition to the four core sessions, you’ll benefit from ongoing support beyond the initial course. This includes access to online group meditation sessions, where you can stay connected with a community of like-minded individuals, continue learning, and receive inspiration to keep your practice strong.

As your teacher, I offer continued personal guidance to ensure your meditation journey feels supported, enriching, and sustainable. Whether it’s weeks, months or years after the course, you’re always welcome to reach out for advice, reassurance, or simply to reconnect.
